The Faculty of Medical Engineering is proud to host Prof Leopold Schmetterer – Professor of Ophthalmology and head of ocular imaging at Singapore Eye Research Institute, delivering a lecture on a challenging topic
“Biomedical engineering versus big data; the fight for the future of ophthalmic imaging”.
Prof. Schmetterer has published more than 280 peer reviewed publications, he was invited for more than 200 lectures including more than 15 keynote lectures and has been awarded more than 15 million Euro in research grant funding. He is a member of the Editorial Boards of Progress in Retinal and Eye Research, Scientific Reports, Acta Ophthalmologica, Journal of Ocular Pharmacology and Therapeutics, Current Eye Research and five other journals.
